Last Mile Mobility Integration with Hyperloop
Industry
VAIMOO
Description
This implementation objective is aimed at the study and development of a last-mile mobility system, based on light electric vehicles, which integrates the hyperloop service by offering users a complete door-to-door mobility solution.
The architecture of the vehicles to be studied and used in the service will be defined:
• E-bikes with the following characteristics:
A “step-through” frame that will allow the user to easily get on and off without significantly bending their legs. Lightness that will contribute to the reduction of battery energy consumption, will improve maneuverability, will reduce driver fatigue (especially near intersections and uphill) and will reduce the impact of a possible road accident (e.g. accident with a pedestrian).
An ergonomic saddle, suitable for both women and men, padded and cushioned to absorb shocks, covered with non-slip material, resistant to water and made with recycled material.
The tires are made with puncture-proof technology and reinforced laterally to resist dragging against curbs.
A front hook-up and charging mechanism, compatible with the Docking Station stalls.
• The Cargo e-bike will have the addition of a rear luggage rack. This will be watertight and will be equipped with an electric lock controlled by smartphone. The complete waterproofing will allow even the most delicate loads to be transported protected from atmospheric agents, while the electric lock will keep the load safe even during short stops when the cargo e-bike is parked.
